Our Story
Afrocentric805 is a house. It's a brand born from the love and preservation of an extraordinary woman's legacy. My mother passed away at a young age. She was a dressmaker, and when I realized I had a talent for sewing, I founded Afrocentric805 to ensure her legacy would continue through my work. Afrocentric805 showcases a collection of smart casuals that are vibrant, bold, and richly colourful. Each piece is created in moments of pure happiness, peace, and inspiration. The brand's mission is to bring joy to customers through their purchases and interactions with the clothing. Combining a love for African fashion, African prints, the craft of dressmaking, and the spirit of happiness, Afrocentric805 presents timeless fashion pieces handcrafted for your enjoyment.
Our Mission
Our primary goal is to spread love, joy, and togetherness. Our Smart Casuals collection is designed for anyone who adores vibrant colours and appreciates our motherland, Africa. We started our journey in 2012 with a small stall selling Scatter Cushions at the RichMix Centre in London. Since then, we have expanded our range and participated in over 300 craft fayres and music festivals. We've also had several stints in high-street pop-up shops. Our ever-expanding collection now serves the entire family, including pets! Who knew?! We've become a go-to brand not just for gifts but also for well-crafted and easy to wear African fashion staples.
Our Events
This is the highlight of our business! We love meeting our customers and friends face-to-face. Not only is it a great way for you to have a tangible experience with our African inspired clothing, but we promise you will also have plenty of laughs with us.
